"Maker in China" SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Global Contest 2023 - Hong Kong Chapter
"Maker in China" SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Global Contest 2023 - Hong Kong Chapter is organised by China Centre for Promotion of SME Development, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (OGCIO), Department of Youth Affairs and jointly organised by the Hong Kong Cyberport and the Angel Investment Foundation.
The goal of the competition is to promote the connection between innovative technologies and enterprises, innovation and technology projects and industrial parks, as well as market-oriented operations and government policies, so as to assist industries in collaborative innovation and industrial upgrading.
Through this competition, the start-ups can gain more experience, and broaden their horizons by meeting professionals and investors from different fields. At the same time, participants will stand a chance to get in touch with potential investors and business partners to develop their network in the Great Bay Area.
Top 10 contestants of the Contest will be rewarded with the following offers as support to their business’ development:
1.Free participation at the 2024 InnoEX and the 26th China International Software Expo (CISE) offered by OGCIO;
2.Direct interviews under the Cyberport Incubation Program and Free use of Cyberport Smart-Space for 3 months from Cyberport;
3.Direct participation in the “Flash Forward” acceleration plan – with angel investment of up to HKD 5 million and investor share buyback guarantee of HKD 20 million from Angel Investment Foundation; and,
4.Opportunity for direct participation in the “HK Tech 300 Seed Fund” program of HK$100,000 from City University of Hong Kong.
