We are delighted to invite you to participate in the Climate Innovator Program, a unique initiative designed to empower young leaders like you to take action in achieving “Dual Carbon” goal and carbon neutrality. The project is organized by Lang Qing Charity and funded by Bank of China (Hong Kong).

As climate change continues to be a pressing global challenge, this program offers an incredible opportunity for university students to: 

  • Enhance knowledge about carbon neutrality, climate change, emission reduction technologies, and environmental policies. 
  • Develop leadership skills in project management, teamwork, and innovative thinking to implement impactful environmental initiatives. 
  • Engage in cross-regional exchanges with experts and peers from Mainland China and Hong Kong.

Program Highlights 

  1. Greater Bay Area Exchange Program:
  • Shenzhen Exchange Program (March 7, 2025, Friday): 

Visit leading organizations such as BYD and Shenneng Environmental Protection Longgang Energy Ecological Park and attend science lectures on (1) Development of Carbon Neutrality, (2) Clean Energy, and (3) Carbon Auditing. 

  • Zhuhai Exchange Program (March 13, 2025, Thursday): 

                               Explore facilities like Toyotomi Beijian Transparent Factory and Kangheng Environmental Protection Co. Ltd. and attend science lectures on (1) Climate Change, (2) Waste-to-Energy, and (3) Carbon Auditing. 

 

  1. HKUST Carbon Neutrality Training Program (March 22 or 26, 2025): Participate in workshops at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, focusing on the latest carbon neutrality policies, cutting-edge technologies, and campus sustainability practices. 

 

  1. Community Engagement (submission by May 26, 2025): Implement and promote a carbon neutrality action plan in your community, culminating in a promotional report.

 

  1. “Climate Innovator” Competition: Stand a chance to win recognition for your efforts, with winners announced in July 2025. 

Program activities will be mainly conducted in Mandarin or Cantonese.

 

Eligibility: 

  • University students, youth volunteers, and community leaders passionate about climate action. 

 

How to Apply:
