Dear Students and Alumni,
The France-HKUST Innovation Hub is excited to announce that the "Innovation Contest 4CSRtech" will be held on 3-4 November 2018 in HKUST! The contest is co-sponsored by Orange, the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau, and the School of Engineering. We welcome entrepreneurs, social innovators and students to join this event and showcase their innovation for sustainable challenges in the fast changing world and explore new value creation business model.
Challenges
Candidates should propose product/solution to solve challenge from the following five categories:
• Social Labor
• Health & Safety
• Environment Management
• Business Ethics
• Capability Building
Ideas included but are not limited to:
• Innovations that could reduce CSR risks, address new challenges such as circular economy, increase factory compliance capacity, transparency and accountability
• Initiatives that promote information collection, systematic management, prevention and control of CSR risks in the supply chain
• Solutions to improve factory and employees' CSR capability via new technologies (AI, Cloud, Big data, Robotic, VR etc), new ways of open platform collaboration (social dialogue, good practice sharing, etc.)
Prizes
Total package to 5 awardee teams
• Demo at JAC CSR Forum (16 multinational telecom companies) in January 2019 in Shenzhen
• Sponsored booth at Vivatech Innovation Fair – The world's rendez-vous for Startups & Leaders in May 2019 in Paris
• A reward of HKD 20,000/team
• Mentoring from industrial and academic expert
• Opportunity to meet enterprises for internship, enterprises for project implementation, corporate funds and other investors
