IAS Program on Inverse Problems, Imaging and Partial Differential Equations - Inverse Scattering Problem for the Fractional Schrödinger Equation

4:00pm - 5:00pm
IAS4042, 4/F, Lo Ka Chung Building, Lee Shau Kee Campus, HKUST

Abstract

In this talk, the speaker will introduce the direct and the inverse scattering problem for the fractional Schrödinger equation. Restricted by the resolvent estimates, in some regime of the nonlocality, he will address those problems.

About the Speaker

Dr. Tuhin GHOSH received his PhD in Mathematics from the Centre for Applicable Mathematics of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, India in 2016. He then held postdoctoral positions at the HKUST Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2016-2018 & 2018-2019, at the University of Washington in Spring 2018 and at the Universität Bielefeld in 2019-2023. He joined the Harish-Chandra Research Institute in 2023 and is currently a Reader in the Mathematics Faculty.

Dr. Ghosh’s primary research areas are inverse problems and homogenization.
