Staff and students of HKUST are welcome to join this workshop to kickstart the week in a positive and refreshing way. This one-hour event will begin with some simple stretching exercises, allowing us to bring awareness to the body with the intention to feel more grounded, counterbalancing the wandering mind that is often lost in rumination. After some bodily movements, the class will transition into a breathing exercise, in hopes to reduce the stress and tension that are brought to us in our study or work. The last fifteen minutes of the workshop will be dedicated to silent meditation, an ancient but powerful technique that helps us to create space in accepting the present moment.
*Participants need to bring their own yoga mat to join the workshop. Confirmed participants will receive email after sign up.
