HKUST 35th Anniversary IMPACT FIESTA: Explore. Experience. Enjoy

What does a lunar robot look like before it heads to the Moon? How can a smartphone camera measure vital signs in seconds? How are artificial intelligence and drones transforming healthcare, sustainability, and emergency response?

Discover the answers at the HKUST 35th Anniversary Impact Fiesta, a dynamic showcase of discoveries, innovation, and creativity taking place at the Central Harbourfront and AIA Vitality Park from November 27 to 28. This flagship community event will feature space-bound technologies, AI-powered healthcare, immersive digital art, and hands-on STEM activities, illustrating how HKUST is creating impact in Hong Kong, across the nation, and around the globe.

Explore themed zones highlighting some of HKUST's most exciting achievements. At the Impact Showcase Zone, visitors can experience cutting-edge technologies in aerospace, robotics, healthcare, and sustainability. Highlights include a 1:1 scale model of the Hong Kong Operation Robot, a multi-functional lunar surface robot designed for the national moon landing mission, and MUSICO, HKUST's pioneering carbon-monitoring payload currently operating aboard China's Tiangong Space Station. Meet AI-powered robot dogs, interact with intelligent robotic systems, and discover technologies designed to support search-and-rescue missions.

Innovation continues in the Start-Up Zone, where visitors can explore ventures born from HKUST's entrepreneurial ecosystem, spanning contactless health monitoring, AI-powered eye care, wearable robotics, green technology, and live 3D food printing. At the Art-Tech Zone, step into SURREALITY, the world's first large-scale, cross-regional Mixed Reality (MR) × AI digital art exhibition, where technology and imagination converge in immersive new ways. Film enthusiasts can visit the AI Cinema Zone to discover how AI and spatial technologies are transforming creative storytelling. Presented by HKUST's Division of Arts and Machine Creativity (AMC), the program features a curated selection of AI-generated short films ranging from futuristic sci-fi adventures to thought-provoking stories about family, memory, and the passage of time.

Beyond the showcases, visitors can build their own Gear Motion Car, explore the science of flight, participate in interactive STEM workshops, enjoy financial literacy sessions, and join a variety of family-friendly activities. The festival will also feature live performances by the Chinese Orchestra, HKUST students, and guest artists throughout the two-day celebration.

Between activities, visitors can try their luck at game booths, create Red Birdie-inspired keepsakes, collect stamps to redeem exclusive HKUST 35th Anniversary souvenirs, and enjoy festival treats and refreshments along the way.

Impact Fiesta is also an opportunity to give back. Proceeds from souvenir sales, photo booth prints, and will be donated to the Children's Cancer Foundation.

Join us and experience firsthand how HKUST is shaping the future through innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Follow HKUST's official social media channels for more sneak peeks as we count down to the Fiesta.
