Henan Summer Camp 2024

Students are invited to apply for the Henan Summer Camp 2024, co-organized by HKUST and the Henan Provincial Department of Education (河南教育廳).
Date: 30 May – 8 Jun 2024 (10 days)
Destination: Henan Province, China
Camp Fee: HK$500 + Deposit HK$500 (will be refunded upon completion of the trip)
Eligibility: All full-time LOCAL students (i.e., Home Return Permit Holders)
Highlights:
· Visit famous cultural and heritage sites, such as Longmen Grottoes (龍門石窟), Millennium City Park (清明上河園), Shaolin Monastery (少林寺)
· Tasting classes for intangible cultural heritage, such as paper-cutting (剪紙), dough sculpture (捏麵人), and cloth art (布藝)
· Visit Henan famous corporates, like Chery Automobile (奇瑞汽車), Sanquan Food (三全食品), Zhengzhou Synear Food (思念食品)
· Exchange with university students from Macau, Hong Kong and Henan
Note: The itinerary may be subject to change in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
Application and Selection:
1. Interested students must complete the online application form: https://forms.office.com/r/3z7CbnZkNf by 19 Apr 2024 (Fri).
2. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a selection interview scheduled on 25 or 26 Apr 2024.
3. Result announcement will be sent to all applicants by early May 2024.
