Description:

Being a young adult, the way you identify, understand, and manage emotions can have an impact on your personal wellness and how you tackle different aspects in life. In this series of workshops, you will learn how to cultivate an awareness of your feelings, which is crucial to your physical health, mental wellbeing, and relationship with others. You will also receive one-on-one advising from the trainer to help you put what you learn into everyday practice.

 

Key themes to explore include:

  • Self-Awareness: What are emotions? How do emotions impact your thinking and behaviors?
  • Self-Management: Identify your emotional triggers and tools to manage difficult emotions
  • Awareness of others: Identify the emotional needs of others via practicing authentic listening and observing others.

HLTH1010: 

Full completion (3 sessions): 6 HLTH1010 hours
Partial completion (2 sessions): 4 HLTH 1010 hours
Students who attended 1 sessions or less will not be eligible for HLTH1010 course hours
