Abstract

Since computer vision was founded in 1960s, researchers have been dreaming of teaching a machine to describe what it sees. Recent development of deep learning has significantly boosted computer vision research. It is said that now computer vision can empower a 5-year-old human visual system. In this talk, we will introduce recent advances in computer vision. Especially, we will show how computer vision research is transforming from visual perception to content creation. We will demonstrate how we can apply these innovative vision techniques to empower business intelligence in the real-world applications, especially in a wide variety of application scenarios of JD.COM’s smart supply chain system.
