The cloud environment markedly differs from traditional on-premise data centers. For database designers, the cloud presents a myriad of opportunities and challenges. Matrix Origin has developed the MatrixOne database from ground up for the cloud, to leverage these unique advantages. We will delve into the architecture and the rationale behind the design choices of the MatrixOne database. Additionally, we will discuss some of the advanced features of MatrixOne and the innovative solutions it offers.
Dr Feng Tian received his doctor's degree from University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has since been working with many database and storage companies including Microsoft, Greenplum, VMware, Datrium, VitesseData and Snowflake. Feng joined MatrixOrigin as CTO in 2022.
