Metaverse has been a hot topic of conversation recently.  "Digital Avatar", the most important content in the metaverse,  will impact the future of communication and human-machine interaction. In this talk, I will introduce state-of-the-art 3D avatar digitization technologies in academic and industry, and describe how AI-driven 3D avatars will help us enable the metaverse.

As a research scientist from Pinscreen, I work in the field of Computer Graphics, Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. My research focuses on developing new data-driven techniques and modeling tools for the digitization of highly intricate geometric structures such as human hair as well as the acquisition of physical properties from captured data. Before join Pinscreen, I obtained my PhD from University of Southern California.
