Speaker:
Mr. Chen Dah Ren, George

Co-founder and CEO of Ecoinno HK Limited, a Hong Kong-based technology company with a mission of providing a 100% zero plastic solution.

George Chen was born in Hong Kong and received his Business Degree at the York University, Canada. Over the past three decades, he witnessed the huge damage towards our environment and human health by plastic materials and plastic waste. Thus, he began to explore sustainable materials that can replace plastic materials and biodegradable which he called: a zero-plastic solution.

With his co-founders Ms. Vivian Chang and Prof. Alexander Bismarck, they developed a high-performance Green Composite Material (GCM) based on 100% Natural Plant fibers as a substitution for single-use plastic.

To enhance public awareness on how plastic materials damage our environment and human health daily; George began to initialize platforms to advocate environmental concern, zero plastic movement, and sustainability in the community through collaborations with government level, academic faculties, and non-profit organizations. He hopes his inspiration and holistic approach can motivate the next generation on sustainability. As he said: “everyone has a stake in sustainability, and the choices we make, are critical to our environment and the future of the next generation. We use innovation and technology to help people and nature coexist. The core question is either we are committed to move forward together and find a solution, or we don’t”.
