This 6 hours (2 hours x 3 sessions) short course is the first part of a practical Cantonese short course designed for complete beginners. Moving beyond traditional textbook learning, this module focuses on immediate survival and social skills. Students will master the essential 6 tones through interactive games and pop-culture references, learn to introduce themselves, discuss their backgrounds, and make social plans. Through task-based learning activities, where students create and present absurd itineraries, ensuring they can confidently use key grammar structures like time, place, and action word order. By the end of this module, students will be able to break the ice and build basic identity profiles in Cantonese.
