Professor Yang WANG
Vice-President for Institutional Advancement, HKUST

Prof. Yang Wang is a Chair Professor of Mathematics & Industrial Engineering and Decision Analytics, and has founded the HKUST Big Data Institute & Big Data for Bio Intelligence Laboratory. As the Chief Scientific Advisor of the Institute of Web 3.0 Hong Kong and Founding Advisor for Blockchain Academy, Prof. Wang has made significant contributions to advancing digital technologies education, including launching the popular Big Data Technology MSc program. He is an internationally respected scholar with over 150 research publications in areas like wavelets, machine learning, and supply chain management.
