15 Minutes of Fame
A pop-up show to allow talented HKUST members to showcase their art skills in the foyer at lunch time. It is with great pleasure that we extend our invitation to Prof. Ivan IP to grace us with a piano showcase of Debussy's piano music.

Ivan is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, HKUST. Apart from academics, he also holds the diploma L.T.C.L. in piano performance, and he was the founding member of Yale University's Davenport Pops Orchestra (DPops) in 2005, and Jonathon Edwards College Philharmonics (JECP) in 2008, where he played the violin. He also performed in Yale's Saybrook College Orchestra (SYO) in 2011 as a guest pianist.
In his undergraduate years, Ivan was the committee member and player of both HKUST Wind Ensemble (clarinet) and String Team (violin), which merged into the University Philharmonic Orchestra (UPO) in 2006. He has been playing the viola for UPO after returning to HKUST since 2018, and he was invited to perform in the HKUST 30th Anniversary Music Video “This is My Dream”.
