Designed for absolute beginners with no prior knowledge, this interactive workshop focuses on what locals actually say in everyday moments. From ordering ttteokbokki at a street stall and asking for directions in Seoul’s subway to navigating cosmetic shops in Myeongdong and apologizing when bumping into someone, you will master essential survival expressions. Beyond basic logistics, you will discover situation-specific cultural gems: how to politely refuse a drink at a Korean BBQ place, how to handle social interactions appropriately, and how to strike up a conversation to make a local friend.

This is an HMAW1905-recognized event in the “Personal Enrichment & Community Service” category under the "Self-directed Experience" of HMAW1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. To receive 1.5 hours, you must attend the event in full and miss no more than 10 mins.
