In this regard, an online talk on Introduction to anti-discrimination laws will be held to give HKUST community an overview of the anti-discrimination laws in Hong Kong and introduce ways to prevent discrimination.

  1. Introduction to the diversity and equal opportunities initiatives, policy, procedures and guidelines at HKUST;

  2. Introduction to the anti-discrimination laws of Hong Kong and its application,  including the following:

  • a. Prohibited grounds and unlawful acts under the anti-discrimination laws,
  • b. Liability and defence,
  • c. Ways to prevent discrimination, and
  • d. The latest amendments to the anti-discrimination ordinances
