"What is Engineering" Video Competition

In celebration of our 30th Anniversary, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, School of Engineering is hosting a video competition for all HKUST members and the general public, inviting participants to flex their creative muscles and produce a short video showcasing how engineering serves the society or influence their daily lives.

To join this competition, all you need is a simple set of equipment (like your mobile phone) to shoot a 3-minute original video related to the theme. The language used can be English, Cantonese, or Putonghua with English subtitles.

To enter the competition, you may: 

 1) Join as an individual or a group of 2 to 5; 

 2) Submit ONE video + ONE application as an individual or a group

After the deadline of application and video submission, all the videos will be screened by SENG committee. In total of 60 videos (30 videos from the HKUST Category and 30 videos from the Public Category) will be shortlisted for public voting.
