Tick@Lab Training Workshop - Animal Experiment Protocol
The online Tick@Lab platform has been launched for the submission of research compliance applications and tracking of protocols. For research which involves animals, human participants, artefacts and safety issues, the PI is required to obtain approval from the relevant review committee/panel (Animal Ethics Committee, Human Research Ethics Committee and Safety Panel) at the proposal stage or before the commencement of the research via Tick@Lab.
Please note the following before submitting your proposal(s), including the forthcoming General Research Fund (GRF) submission.
• Your Tick@Lab application must be completed before the internal deadline or at least four (4) weeks in advance of the sponsor’s deadline if no internal deadline is set.
• Your Tick@Lab protocol number is required in the Online Research Project Submission (ORPA) Form for the related proposal to enable a successful submission of the ORPA form.
• Retrospective review of experiments conducted is not acceptable.
• If a sponsor does not require a review of the research practices or permits such a review to be completed later, a proposal can be submitted to the sponsor whilst the related research protocol is being reviewed by the review committee/panel.
