Open Call for Artwork Spring 2025 - Dialogue with… HKUST

Amid the vibrant community at HKUST, the Shaw Auditorium Unit is excited to announce a call for artwork for Spring 2025. The theme, "Dialogue with… HKUST," invites individuals to share their creative expressions, fostering engagement and connection within the university. This initiative encourages participants to reflect on their experiences and perspectives, using art as a medium for meaningful conversation. We believe that every piece of artwork can serve as a bridge, facilitating dialogue and inspiring collaboration among students, faculty, and staff.

Eligibility

The call is open to all HKUST members (students, staff, campus residents) and alumni of HKUST.
Participation can be solo or in groups.

Art-Form

1. 2D & 3D art-form, but no electricity will be allowed.
2. For 2D submissions, the size should be within or less than A2 size (including frame).
3. For 3D submissions, the size should not be larger than 40cm (w) x 40cm (l) x 60cm (h).
4. Each submission should include a title and a paragraph of description of the artwork in no more than 100 words in English.
5. Each participant may submit a maximum of 2 pieces of artwork.
6. There will be two deadlines for submission, an early submission and a regular submission. Early submissions will have a chance to be featured in the opening ceremony.
7. Late submissions will not be accepted or considered.
8. By submitting an entry, the participants agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions (add hyper link when publish) of the Exhibition.
