Cultivating Joy Journey: Lok Yin Farm Volunteering Day
In support of Connect for Change- Global Service Day 2024, the HKUST Sustainability/Net-Zero Office is organising a volunteering day event in Lok Yin Farm, an organic farm in Lamma Island. The activity will provide our students and staff an unique chance to gain hands-on experience and deepen their understanding of organic farming practices. This immersive experience not only allows participants to witness the day-to-day operations of an organic farm but also enables them to appreciate the benefits when compared to traditional farming methods that rely on chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

Date: 19 April 2024
Time: 1:30pm-5:30pm (The group will meet at 1:30pm at Central Pier Gate no.4 and dismiss in Lamma Island)
Quota: 15 (Students, Staff or HKUST residents aged 6 or above)
Requirement: Adequate physical fitness, no prior farming experience is required, willingness to get hands dirty
