Medicine’s next frontier lies not only in scientific discovery, but in integrating clinical judgement, primary care, data and technology around the needs of people and populations. This seminar examines how clinical generalism and the core functions of primary care can inform the design of high-performing, learning health systems. It will explore how patient-reported outcomes, international health-system measurement and artificial intelligence can strengthen care, improve system performance and support more adaptive models of medical education. The central question is how future physicians and institutions can combine technological capability with clinical responsibility, systems thinking and measurable impact.
