Abstract

 

Peptides are an important class of bioactive molecules with growing applications in medicine and biotechnology. This seminar reviews the evolution of chemical peptide synthesis from Classical Solution-Phase Peptide Synthesis (CSPS) to Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) and Liquid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (LPPS). Particular emphasis is placed on how purification and separation strategies have driven technological innovation in peptide manufacturing. The advantages and limitations of each platform are compared, and recent advances in green synthesis, continuous processing, and membrane-assisted purification are discussed. The seminar concludes that future peptide manufacturing will rely on integrated, scalable, and sustainable synthesis platforms.
