Abstract
Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) are novel crystalline porous organic materials with high surface area, regular pore structures and customizable functional groups. Reticular synthesis enables the ordered assembly of COFs through geometric matching and reversible covalent reactions such as imine condensation and boronate esterification, using solvothermal, mechanochemical and microwave synthetic methods. Owing to their tunable pores and abundant active sites, COFs show great potential in air pollution control. This seminar mainly focuses on three core parts: the fundamental introduction of covalent organic frameworks (COFs), reticular synthesis principles and fabrication methods of COFs, as well as their applications in air pollution remediation. In addition, future research perspectives are also presented.
