ECE Seminar - Pursuing Better Amplifiers and Their Applications in ADCs

10:00am - 11:00am
Classroom 1410 (via Lifts 25/26)

Over the past several decades, we have been pursuing a better amplifier, how to achieve higher gain, higher linearity, and higher energy efficiency. In this report, we will introduce techniques including open-then-closed correlated level shifting, cascode capacitively degenerated dynamic amplifier, and input boosted inverter-based amplifier, which effectively increased the gain, linearity, and energy efficiency. Finally, we integrated these amplifiers into the ADCs, achieving a significant performance improvement.
