Dr. YEUNG Ki Fung (Kenneth)

Born in Hong Kong, Dr. Ki Fung (Kenneth) Yeung is a versatile performer of historical keyboards (harpsichord, fortepiano, clavichord) and strings, scholar and director. A harpsichord laureate of the 31st International Competition of Early Music Yamanashi (Kohu, Japan), Dr. Yeung is also a recipient of major scholarships.
As an avid performer, Dr. Yeung gives solo, chamber and improvisational performances worldwide, including the United States, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan, Hong Kong and Macau. He has been invited to give recitals, lectures and presentations for conferences and festivals; moreover, he worked and performed with John Butt, Elizabeth Blumenstock, Bojan Čičić, Bruce Dickey, Jeffrey Thomas, Matthias Maute, etc. As a scholar, his current research explores musical directing practices from 1500 to 1800 and pedagogy in historical improvisation.
Currently, Dr. Yeung works as a part-time harpsichord instructor in The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
