Reflect and Navigate Challenges through Messy Storytelling

01:30pm - 03:00pm
ZOOM

Date:

4 Mar 2024 (Mon)

Time:

1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Description:

What did you want to be when you were a kid? Have your dreams changed, or have they remained the same?

As human beings, we tell stories about ourselves all the time - for most of us, we have been telling stories about ourselves since childhood. However, many of us may not be aware of the powerful role that storytelling can play in helping us make sense of our life experiences, navigate challenges, and plan for our futures.

In this talk, mental health advocate, researcher, and entrepreneur, Ms Steph Ng shares her personal experiences of navigating eating disorder recovery in her teens, and how these experiences presented her with the surprising opportunity to rewrite her life narratives as she knew it. Through facilitating interactive activities and sharing practical tips, Steph invites workshop participants to reflect on how they can embrace the messiness and challenges of life, and reposition themselves as the authors of their life stories.
