Department of Mathematics - Seminar on Pure Mathematics - Mathematical aspects of Gauge theories and applications to different scenarios

3:00pm - 4:30pm
Room 5510 (Lifts 25/26)

In this talk, I will explain some Mathematical aspects and basic issues about gauge theories. Imposing local (gauge) symmetries in the past brought important discoveries like the unification of interactions or the equivalence of different equations which seemed to be originally different. Looking in this direction, I show some interesting connections between gauge theories and the Quantum Yang Baxter Equations inside the scenario of the 2D Ising model.
