Celebration of “HKUST-FYBB#1” Satellite Launch
We are delighted to invite you to a momentous event celebrating the launch of the satellite "HKUST-FYBB#1 (香港科大-雄彬一號)" which is the first remote sensing satellite in Hong Kong's higher education sector on August 26. During the event, you will have the opportunity to witness the satellite launch, which will take place the day before. The celebration event is organized for members, friends, and supporters of HKUST to witness this historic moment together and learn more about the latest developments in our related research.
The launch of "HKUST-FYBB#1" marks a significant milestone in the establishment of a comprehensive remote sensing satellite constellation, which could help develop innovative multi-modal space technology and data analytics tools to address some of the world's most critical environmental challenges. This remarkable endeavour has been brought to fruition through the generous support of Mr. Yip Chi Hung Francis and Mrs. Yip Ng Bun Bun Catherine and the collaboration with Chang Guang Satellite Technology Company Limited.
