The AG600 is a large amphibious aircraft (AG600 for short, “Kunlong” for code name). This large special aircraft is being developed for the urgent demand for search and rescue (SAR) and firefighting roles firstly in China. We invite Mr. HUANG Lingcai, Chief Engineer of AVIC General Huanan Aircraft Industry CO., LTD, Chief Designer of AG600 to be the special guest of the 1st “Mingzhi TeaTalk” and share his stories and path of career development with us.

Mr. HUANG Lingcai

Chief Engineer of AVIC General Huanan Aircraft Industry CO., LTD, Chief Designer of AG600, Professor-level Senior Engineer, the State Council Special Allowance Expert, Aviation Industry Senior Expert. He graduated from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) with a major in helicopter design in 1988.

Prior to his current roles, Mr. Huang successively served as Designer, Director of the Office, Associate Director and Director of Aircraft Design Institute, Associate Chief Engineer of AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group CO., LTD, Associate Director of AVIC Special Aircraft Research Institute, Associate Director of AVIC General Flight Research Institute, Associate Chief Engineer and Assistant General Manager of AVIC.

Mingzhi TeaTalk

“Mingzhi TeaTalk” is organized by the Institute of Education Innovation and Practice, the Vice President (Teaching & Learning) Office, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), VPTLO-IEIP, HKUST(GZ). It is a dialogue seminar led by students. Based on the students’ interests and needs of team projects, we will invite special guests from different fields to talk with students and share their stories and pathways of career development. Teachers from HKUST(GZ) act as “Bridge Guests”, who are the “bridge” between students and invited guests, as well as between academia and industry. The seminars are hosted by students. Through “Mingzhi TeaTalk”, we hope to energize the students’ practical projects, open more windows for their career development, broaden the breadth of their career paths and enhance their career planning competency.
