[MentorHUB] Themed Sharing - The glass cliff: women’s leadership in times of crisis

***Co-organized with the student team Women in Business(WiB)***

Glass cliff refers to the situation where women are more likely to be promoted to leadership roles during crises or downturns where the risk of failure is the highest. As the raging pandemic created large-scale uncertainty in the world, in the first half of 2021, the number of women CEOs shockingly doubled – creating a rather precarious situation as they faced a greater risk of falling.

In this event, Prof. Sabrina Lin (Senior Advisor to the President, HKUST) will share her experience in facing a glass cliff. Student team Women in Business(WiB) will be also invited to share their real case with mentor Sabrina in the fireside chat session. Join the event and learn more about how we can avoid glass cliffs and the challenges faced by women to rise to a leadership position!
