CIVL: HydroMet Team - The 1st Climate and Water Forum at HKUST
The CWF aims to facilitate an annual dialogue among scientists, engineers, students, public and private enterprise and government entities to address emerging threats from the changing climate and environment, the depleting availability of clean water, the urge to identify renewable energy to replace fossil fuel, to reduce uncertainty and anxiety for the next generation that will inherit the world.
This year’s CWF consists of three clusters of topics in the intersections of meteorology, hydrology, climate science and water resource management.
- Challenges and opportunities
- Technical advances – data, tools, technology
- New understandings and exciting results
In each of the clusters we have invited leading researchers to give a 45-min talk on a relevant topic followed by a 30-min Q&A session, where we wish more ideas to be exchanged among scientists, engineers, students, policymakers, government and private parties.
Registration is required via the link (https://hkust.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_PKZqcUa5QJSNBB5HoO9Xqw), and it is free of charge. The webinar link will be sent to the attendees directly through their registered emails.
