Center for Global & Community Engagement (GCE) is looking for 20 outgoing students to work with us in STEAM Tutor Team for various STEAM workshops from September 2020 to August 2021. They will also assist in organizing and developing workshops for youngsters of different social backgrounds and needs in the community.

STEAM Tutor Team can gain exposure and teaching experience in STEAM workshops and meet youngster from various backgrounds. 

Here is the general timeframe for your consideration:

Wed, 16 Sept 2020, 1000 – 1400 : Zoom Interview

Sat, 26 Sept 2020, 1000 - 1700 and Early October: Welcome and Training session (Compulsory) 

Eligibilities

1. Students from all disciplines are welcome to apply. 
2. Previous experience in helping in STEAM activities (e.g. HKUST Underwater Robot Competition) and teaching  
      children science and engineering are advantages. 
3. Available to work on weekends. 
4. Good command of Cantonese, English, and/or Putonghua.
5. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview on Wed, 16 Sept 2020. 
6. Must attend the training sessions on Sat, 26 Sept 2020 and early October.

Job Duties

1. To prepare workshop materials
2. To teach participantsSTEAM knowledge
3. To mingle with participants and introduce them the study life at HKUST
4. To perform other ad-hoc tasks and provide logistical support to the workshops

Remuneration

HK$61 per hour
