Abstract
NEC is an ICT company with annual turnover of 3 billion USD. NEC provides safe, secure and efficient social solutions for governments, governmental agencies, and other organizations by combining its distinctive technology assets, including computing, networking and sensing technologies. NEC labs have more than 700 research staffs and do research on the next-generation core technologies. For example, NEC Labs won the No.1 prize on the face recognition technologies at NIST contest. In addition, we presented many papers at the leading conferences and journals. NEC labs are looking for research staff members and internship students. In this talk, I will introduce NEC research activities and our internship program at NEC Labs.

Dr. Yuichi Nakamura is the General Manager of System Platform Research Labs., NEC Corp. He received his B.E. degree in information engineering and M.E. degree in electrical engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1986 and 1988, respectively. He received his PhD. from the Graduate School of Information, Production and Systems, Waseda University, in 2007. He joined NEC Corp. in 1988. Dr. Nakamura is a guest professor of National Institute of Informatics and the vice chair of IEEE CAS Japan Chapter. He has more than 25 years of professional experience in electronic design automation, signal processing, network on chip, signal processing, and embedded software development.
