Green Pro-P Campaign 2024

A Green Pro-P campaign is organised to encourage student societies to think and act sustainably to alleviate the waste issue during the promotional period. Municipal Solid Waste Charging Scheme will be implemented in April 2024 and all of us can contribute to reduce waste at source and recycle as much as possible. 

1. Green Reps

Each cabinet will nominate a “Green Rep” (IVP or other cabinet member) as the key contact person with the Sustainability/Net-Zero Office for green activities. 

2. Green Society Pro-P Champion

Cabinet can win a batch of green souvenirs for members by completing a simple Green Checklist.

Fulfilling different targets will get different rewards.

By 16 Feb 2024-  Submit completed green checklist to green@ust.hk 

By 1 March 2024- Send photo proof document with at least 2 sentences of explanations

3. Recycling arrangement

*During the Big Decoration preparation period, there will be student helpers reminding society cabinets inside the common rooms to separate the materials and cleaners will clear the bins regularly.

*During the last day of the Promotional Period, few student helpers and cleaners will assist the student societies to recycle the materials.

Extra trash and recycling bins will be arranged to assist members to have proper recycling and waste disposal. 

Dismantling (LG1 carpark)

• 8 Feb evening 6-10pm (dismantle big decoration)
• 9 Feb CNY eve, 2-4pm
