The Extended Story of To Be Continued - The Glamorous Entertainment Business of Harry Odell in the 1950s and 1960s 《尚未完場》番外篇 — 上世紀五、六十年代歐德禮的璀燦文化娛樂事業

to
Foyer Exhibition Space, Shaw Auditorium

EXHIBITION INTRODUCTION:

Hailed as Hong Kong's forgotten Impressario, Harry Odell founded the Empire Theatre in 1952 and operated the venue until 1957. He brought to Hong Kong world-class performing artists to perform in the most prestigious venues of the time, namely, his Empire Theatre (later the State Theatre), and after its closure, Lee Theatre, Hong Kong City Hall, etc.  In their conservation campaign of the State Theatre, To Be Continued directors Dora Choi and Haider Kikabhoy rediscovered Harry Odell as well as the equally obliterated golden era of cultural life in post-war Hong Kong.
