Speakers / Performers:
Ms. Priscilla Yeung
Director of Commercialisation, ASTRI

Ms. Priscilla Yeung is Director, Commercialisation of The Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI). She is deeply rooted in fund origination, client development and business management. She brings her experience within the capital markets, management consulting and start up industries. 

At ASTRI, she originates projects in Smart City, Digital Health, Re-Industrialisation and Metaverse. She is a core team member to ASTRI's "Ecosystem & University Technology Transfer Committee" bridging the industries, ASTRI and university professors for maximising opportunities for technology commercialisation. 

Ms. Yueng held a variety of business and management positions in Standard Chartered Hong Kong, International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), the former Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. She was previously the business mentor serving the HKFYG Jockey Club Social Innovation Center and a member of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Sub-Committee of the CUHK Convocation's Standing Committee (2019/20).

Mr. Zephyr Su
Partner, Marks & Clerk

Mr. Zephyr Su is a qualified patent attorney before the PRC patent office and UK Intellectual Property Office. He also holds a Certificate of Legal Profession Qualification in China. Zephyr is a currently a member of All China Patent Attorney Association. In 2005, Zephyr graduated from the University of Macau with a Bachelors degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Subsequently, he earned a Masters degree in Telecommunications from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In particular, he has extensive experiences in patent technology fields of electrical machinery, microelectronics, IT/software, cellular network technology, microwave engineering, among others.

Zephyr has extensive experiences in advocating for clients in invalidation proceedings before the Chinese Patent Office and Chinese courts. He also provides strategic and tactic advices regarding patent contentious matters in China. Zephyr commenced his practice with Marks & Clerk Hong Kong in 2010 and is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Mr. John Chung
Associate (Patent) - Spruson & Ferguson

Mr. John Chung obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree and a Master of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Chinese University of Hong Kong respectively. In 2015, he also received his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Manchester Metropolitan University (UK).

Prior to entering the patent profession, John worked in the semiconductor industry for more than 10 years and was actively involved in managing projects and coordinating the research and development of new products. He specialized in the development of semiconductor products, primarily for mobile phones, wearable devices, LED lighting and other electronic devices with flat panel displays. He has extensive knowledge of amorphous silico (a-Si) TFT, LTPS, IGZO flat panel displays and TDDI systems.

At Spruson & Ferguson, John is involved in the drafting, filing and prosecution of patent applications in Asia and overseas.
