ECE Seminar - Recent advances on multi-sensor fusion estimation and its applications
Abstract: Multi-sensor information fusion estimation is widely used in intelligent robots, such as mobile robot positioning and navigation, environmental perception, pose measurement in robot grasping, and pose estimation and motion trajectory prediction in human-machine cooperation. This report will introduce the recent work progress of Professor Wen-An Zhang’s team in this area, including the work of multi-sensor information fusion estimation in mobile robot indoor positioning system, vehicle high-precision positioning, human motion capture and human-robot cooperation.
WenAn Zhang is currently the Dean of the School of Information Engineering of Zhejiang University of Technology and Professor of the Department of Automation. His main research interests include networked systems, multi-sensor information fusion estimation and application. He has published over 100 academic papers in peer-reviewed academic journals, and 3 academic monographs, he authorized 21 national invention patents, presided over more than 20 national, provincial, and enterprise commissioned technology development projects, and won the first prize in Natural Science from the Ministry of Education, the second prize in Natural Science from the Chinese Society of Automation, and the second prize in Technological Invention from Zhejiang Province. He served as the editorial board member of several academic journals, was a member of the Professional Committee of Control Theory of the Chinese Society of Automation and the Information Fusion Branch of the Chinese Aeronautical Society. He was supported by the Humboldt Foundation of Germany from 2011 to 2013, won the Henry Fok Foundation for Young Teachers in Colleges and Universities in China, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Program.
