Community GO - Cat Shelter "Purr-fecting" Action 貓舍清潔大行動

Cats have been a very popular furry friend in Hong Kong! However, with their high reproduction rate, Hong Hong is also crowded with thousands of stray cats and abandoned cats on the street. Some people might think they cause trouble and mess. Many strays are even hurt by other animals and sometimes people. Fortunately, some are rescued by HK Saving Cat And Dog Association. To understand the association's work and challenges ahead, as well as show care and love to rescued cats, we are now recruiting volunteers to visit and help feed the cats in their shelter in Tsuen Wan and support the regular cleaning work. 

貓隻在港人心目中，佔著一個很特別的位置。有人極愛，有人憎厭；是城市裡最常入鏡的模特兒，但也被認為是滋擾的源頭。牠們機警聰明，有頑強的生存本能和驚人繁殖力。縱使香港人多擠逼，卻住著成千上萬的流浪貓，當中有不少受傷貓隻，亦有市民遺棄的小動物，有一部分有幸得到香港拯救貓狗協會拯救，提供糧食、醫療、絕育及領養等服務。協會現招募義工到荃灣貓舍，協助清潔貓舍和貓籠、餵飼貓隻，藉此了解協會的工作及所面對的挑戰。

#You are required to attend the whole service program, including Briefing and Service in person.

Remarks:
1. [Penalty for withdrawal after 25 Nov and/or absence] This service is fully subsidized by Comfort Paws. If you are unable to participate in the program as scheduled, you should inform us by e-mail to withdraw your application no later than 25 Nov 2022 (Fri). Students who withdraw from the Program after 25 Nov 2022 or are absent from the Program will be charged an HKD70 program fee.

2. [CORE1905] This is a recognized event in the "Self-directed Experience" component of CORE1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. You need to attend the event in full to get 3.5 hours. 

3. Upon completion of the service, the actual direct service hours will be subjected to the confirmation of the partner association.

4. [Changemaker 30] 3 Points will be awarded upon complete attendance of the session for Changemaker 30 registrants.

5. Volunteers should not be afraid of any kind of cats and should have no allergies to animals.

6. Volunteers should be ready to clean the cat shelter and animal excrement, feed the cat and perform other duties as assigned by the association.
