CBSA-WISERS Analytics Challenge @HKUST 2023/2024

In today's fast-paced and interconnected world, social media and news platforms play a vital role in shaping public opinion and influencing decision-making processes. With so much data at our fingertips, it is more important than ever to develop effective strategies for risk management.

Exciting news! The Center for Business and Social Analytics (CBSA) of HKUST Business School is calling for applications for the CBSA-Wisers Analytics Challenge @HKUST 2023/24!

Organized by CBSA in collaboration with Wisers Information Limited, this annual competition offers a unique opportunity for tertiary students in Hong Kong to put their data analytics skills to the test while tackling a real-world business or social impact challenge. The theme this year is Social Media and News Data Analysis for Risk Management in Hong Kong.

The Challenge is open to all students enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate program in Hong Kong. Each project team must comprise two to four participants, including at least one HKUST student. To equip teams for success, we have curated a 5-Part Webinar Series featuring leading experts in the field. Additionally, our Team Matching Platform will help you find your perfect teammates and connect with like-minded students.
