Countryside Angels「郊野天使」橋咀洲淨灘

Join a meaningful trail‑cleaning and beach‑cleanup at Kau Chau in Sai Kung — an experience beyond ordinary cleaning.

In partnership with the Association for Geoconservation, Hong Kong (AGHK), you’ll help clear litter from mountain paths and the shoreline while exploring one of Hong Kong’s most distinctive geological sites.

Guided observation of the island’s unique geology, ecology, and heritage will enrich your understanding of Hong Kong’s natural treasures. This hands‑on activity makes conservation purposeful and rewarding, as you play a part in protecting geo‑, eco‑, and cultural heritage.

活動與香港地貌保育協會（AGHK）合辦，參加者將一邊清理山徑與海岸垃圾，一邊探索香港獨特的地質景觀。在導賞員帶領下，深入認識島嶼的地質、生態與文化遺產，進一步欣賞香港的自然瑰寶。這次淨灘行動讓保育工作更具目的與價值，一起為守護香港的地貌、生態及文化遺產出力。

# You are required to attend the whole service program, including Briefing, Service & Debriefing.

Remark:1. [HMAW1905] This is a recognized event in the "Self-directed Experience" component of HMAW1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. To receive 2.5 hours, you must attend the event in full and miss no more than 10 mins.

2. [Penalty for withdrawal and/or absence after 30 Sep by 12nn] The event is fully subsidized by HKUST Connect. If you are unable to participate in the event as schedule, you should send us a written notification to connect@ust.hk as soon as possible, but no later than 30 Sep 2026 (Wed) by 12nn. Students who withdrawn after the deadline or absent from the event will be charged a HKD130 program fee.

3. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email from connect@ust.hk, and will be able to find their application status listed as "Confirmed" on the Social Career portal/app.

4. Upon completion of the service, the actual service hours will be subjected to the confirmation of the partner association.
