IP SEMINAR - Tips for Strengthening your Patent Application for Commercialization

10:00am - 11:00am
Zoom link will be provided after registration

Protecting intellectual property is a critical step in the commercialization of university research. However, converting research intended for academic publication into a commercially valuable patent can be challenging. Research decisions made well before drafting a patent application has even begun can impact the scope, strength, and even the validity of the patented technology.

In this seminar, we will discuss the requirements and process for obtaining a patent and what university researchers can do to not only increase strength and scope of a patent, but also improve the likelihood of commercializing the patented technology.
