ECE Seminar - INTRODUCTION TO SENSORS, INTERFACING AND CONTROL (Teaching Seminar)
2:30pm - 3:30pm
Seminar by ZOOM, https://hkust.zoom.us/j/99705870427?pwd=Z3VlTlV3Y3ZaM0Z5SmJOQmR2aldLdz09 Meeting ID: 997 0587 0427

Devices that capture signals from its environment are ubiquitous. These signals are to be analyzed using a digital computer. More often than not, the signals are analog in nature. A proper sensing and acquisition (including digitization) set up is required to prepare such signals for analysis. The acquired signals can also be used for controlling plants in a control system. This Teaching Seminar will provide an overview of sensors, interfacing and control systems at an introductory level. The topics include the elements of a Digital Data Acquisition System (Sensors/Transducers, Signal Conditioning, Digitization, Data Acquisition Hardware and Software). Practical Real-world examples will also be discussed. The target audience of this teaching seminar is second year undergraduate students in Electrical, Electronics & Computer Engineering.
