Announcing Cosmopolis Festival 2022

Presented at HKUST’s newly-opened Shaw Auditorium, the Cosmopolis Festival highlights Hong Kong as a major cultural hub, regularly visited by the most renowned performers from all over the world, with an equally broad range of local cultures and talent. Cosmopolis aims to introduce audiences to music from a cross section of cultural, linguistic, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, representing traditions such as Indian classical music, Indonesian gamelan, Chinese orchestral repertoire, chamber music, opera, as well as avant-garde, experimental, and multimedia works. The festival is curated to include works by local composers, performances by prominent local musicians, alongside distinguished international guests, with concerts paired with talks, workshops, masterclasses, and arts exhibitions.
